2. Not drinking enough water
Hydration plays a big role in the appearance of cellulite. Water helps drain and evacuate toxins from the body, allowing better exchanges between organs. In case of incomplete exchanges, cellulite settles.
3. Eating high glycemic index foods
The glycemic index is used to measure the blood glucose level of food for two hours after ingestion. If the glycemic index of the food is high, it will cause insulin peaks which promotes cravings and, as a result storage of fat.
Smoking decreases the oxygenation of tissues and limits the good exchanges in the body which promotes the appearance of cellulite.
In addition, it promotes premature aging of the skin and is responsible for many heart and cancer pathologies.
5. The stress
Stress causes an accumulation of toxins in our body and prevents good exchanges in the body because of the tension that settles there. Shallow breathing under stress also reduces the level of oxygen in the body which restricts the ability of cells to function properly.
6. Female sex hormones
Hormones are not responsible for cellulite itself, but they play a big role in the breakdown of fat. Female hormones will promote the distribution of fat in the lower body, this is called gynoid fat.

Heredity plays a big role in cellulite: we are not all equal before cellulite. If our mother and/or grandmother has, there is a good chance of inheriting it. However, this should not be experienced as a fatality because the lifestyle is for many also and we can act on it.
8. Some medications
Some drugs, especially the pill and most based on female hormones, can promote the storage of fat, water retention and therefore, the appearance of cellulite. Other medications, such as corticosteroids, can also contribute to the onset of cellulite.
